    Special Seminar with Imura Sensei...Instructor at the

     headquarters in Japan


    Sensei Takenori Imura. A legend in the JKA, Imura sensei has

    won the Kata Title at the Shoto Cup and All Japan many times.

     

    1. kids and adults yellow to blue belts 5:30-6:30 pm... Fee..$20 non JKA..$30
       
    2. brown and black belts..................6:45- 8:25 pm...Fee..$40 non JKA..$50

    Dojo Tournament for kids 5-15 years old..9am - 12 noon Fee is $20 
    to be held at the Kingston Rd. United Church.
     
    On Saturday 29 May 2010,

    There will be a dbrown and black belt grading to be held at the Mississaugua

     dojo. The grading will be conducted by Saeki Sensei and will be for people who wish to be tested for sho dan, ni dan and san dan levels.

     
    Persons that are tested should also be current CJKF members and has a JKA passport.

    plans are in place for Koyo Camp 2010 and will be
    at the Algonquin College, Ottawa. Please reserve 19th August to 22nd August
    2010 on your calendar.
    Featured guest instructor will be Tanaka Sensei. The theme of this year's
    camp will be set differently as it will be tailored more towards
    instructional and the finer technical aspects of JKA Karate.

    London Tournament February 2010

    I am extremely proud of you all for taking the time to travel to London and represent the Toronto JKA Karate dojo.
    This was a difficult tournament especially for the newcomers as divisions were large, the experience you have gained will only serve to enhance your karate training.

    Ottawa Tournament 2007

     

     

    On July 21st. 2007 four members from our dojo  competed in Sensei Pete Daypuck's annual tournament and did very well and all recieved placements for their performance.Special thank to Sempai Marie & John for support with coaching and judging.

    we are extremely proud of them.


     

    On June 23rd. four members from our dojo went to the 2007 summer camp and also competed in the annual tournament and did very well although not everyone receive medals for their performance.

    Tournament is an event in which courageous people participate and compete with each other, whether or not medals are achieved, the main goals of building character,

    good sportsmanship, courage and the ability to learn about oneself 

    to promote the learning experience must be maintained.
